The UConn Huskies Men’s Ice Hockey team has come a long way since its inception in 1960. Initially, the team was comprised of a group of students who were passionate about playing hockey. They competed in Division III of the NCAA up until 1998, when they joined the Division I ranks. It wasn’t an easy transition, but with sheer hard work and dedication, the Huskies established themselves as a competitive force in collegiate hockey.

In 2014, UConn made the move to join one of the best conferences in college hockey, Hockey East. Hockey East is comprised of some of the top teams in the country, including Boston College, Boston University, and Northeastern.
